Drunk Driver Causes Multi-Car Pileup In Clairemont Car Accident

The 25-year-old motorist involved in a catastrophic drunk driving accident on Friday, January 10 was finally arrested on January 14. The motorist appeared in court Wednesday, January 15 where he faced three charges of gross vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence causing great bodily injury. The collision occurred around 11:15 p.m. when the 25-year-old motorist and five passengers were driving in a 2000 Cadillac Escalade along 1-805 westbound near State Route 52. The motorist failed to merge properly onto State Route 52, swerved up the embankment and collided with a concrete pillar.
