1620 5th AvenueAccording to The Sacramento Bee, two people—including a police officer—were injured in a car accident on August 28. A drunken driver slammed into the unmarked patrol car Sunday evening around 9:30.
The names of both the injured officer and the driver were withheld. Garden Grove Police Lt. Jeff Nightengale told reporters that the car was hit near the intersection of Euclid Street and Trask Avenue in Garden Grove. No details were released other than to say the driver is a 23-year-old male and is expected to be arrested for drunk driving when he is released from the hospital.
Luckily nobody was killed in this accident. There is never an excuse to get behind the wheel after drinking.
