A car accident in Yuba City, California claimed the life of a teenage girl on November 17, according to Appeal-Democrat.com. Kayla Lizama was celebrating her 18th birthday with friends when the car she was riding in ran off the road and struck a tree. Driver Natalie Boutilier escaped the crash uninjured, and Lizama was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died from her injuries. Lizama and Boutilier were riding in Boutilier’s Honda Civic to go visit friends at the time of the accident. The accident remains under investigation, and the California Highway Patrol did not provide details as to the cause of the accident. “They were going to visit friends,” said family friend Summer Taylor. “They just lost control.” Two friends following in another car witnessed the wreck and called 911. A car accident claimed one young woman’s life in San Diego on October 19, 2012, according to NBC News in San Diego. The two-vehicle collision occurred around 7:30 p.m. near the San Diego Zoo’s Safari Park. Officials from the San Diego Police Department, the Escondido Fire Department, the San Diego Fire Rescue and the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the collision. According to reports, the victim, a 20-year-old woman, was traveling west in a Ford Mustang on San Pasqual Road when she struck the carcass of a dead dear that was lying in the roadway. After striking the deer carcass, the Mustang then crossed over into oncoming traffic, where it was T-boned by a Ford Explorer. Sgt.
