Police are searching for a man they suspect of causing a car accident in New York that killed a man and his pregnant wife on March 3. Police suspect Julio Acevedo of crashing into the car and killing Nachman and Raizy Glauber, both 21, and their unborn child. The driver of the car was injured but survived. Police arrested Acevedo, 44, earlier this year on drunk driving charges. Police claim that in this second accident, Acevedo was driving a BMW down a busy street in Brooklyn at 60 mph when he collided into the Glaubers’ car on March 3 before fleeing the scene. A nearby hospital delivered the baby, but doctors pronounced the child dead a short time later. The track record of the company that owns the bus involved in the deadly crash which claimed at least 7 lives is now being called into question, according to Fox News in San Diego. The accident occurred when a bus descending down a mountain flipped over and struck two other vehicles as it was returning to Tijuana from a one-day ski trip at Big Bear Mountain, approximately 80 miles east of Los Angeles. Interbus, based out of Tijuana, organized the day trip and contracted the bus service—including its driver—from Scapadas Magicas, a small bus company based in National City, California. Scapadas received a “satisfactory” rating from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) but has been cited for 30 safety violations.
