San Diego Wrongful Death Attorney Weighs in on Drinking and Driving Problem in the NFL

Two Dallas Cowboys football players were involved in a fatal car accident in early December in which Jerry Brown Jr. lost his life, according to sources. Brown Jr. was riding with teammate Josh Brent on Highway 114 in Dallas. Brent lost control of the car and it overturned around 2 a.m. on December 9. Brown was pronounced dead on the scene, having suffered blunt force trauma to his head and neck. Police reports indicate that Brent was given field sobriety tests and was arrested on suspicion of DUI after he failed them. Brent and Brown were longtime friends, having played together at the University of Illinois. San Diego Injury Attorney Notes High Medical Costs Associated with TBI

A California man is in a coma after a tragic motorcycle accident in San Diego, according to the Napa Valley Register. Timmy Lotton Jr., 24, crashed his motorcycle into a guardrail and flew more than 20 feet in the air before landing in a ditch. Lotton was rushed to Sharp Memorial Hospital with a traumatic brain injury, where he remains in a coma. Drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the accident, but police said excessive speed may have caused him to lose control. “He was diagnosed with diffuse axonal injury,” said Marlee Gradias, Lotton’s aunt. “Basically, it’s the most common brain injury and most devastating.” Doctors believe that if Lotton does not regain consciousness in the next six months, he likely will never.
