A contingency fee means that if we obtain money for you, either via settlement or verdict, we deduct attorney fees and legal costs from the recovery and give you the rest. The percentage may vary depending on the risk involved in the case, which will be part of the contract. If we fail to reach a settlement or verdict in your favor, you do not owe us anything.

What If an Off-Leash Dog Bites You?

Posted on December 14, 2015 by bonnicilawgroup

A San Diego resident was walking her son’s dog near Dove Creek Road and Ranch Parkway recently when an off-leash dog charged towards them. The dog attacked both of them, biting the woman on her arm while she screamed for help. “I’m yelling help me, somebody help me,” explained the woman. However, the attacking dog’s owner, who was nearby, did nothing to help. “The dog’s owner never called to her dog’s name,” said the victim. She says that the owner took off. The victim suffered severe bruising and cuts on her arm, but was able to protect her son’s dog from harm. Victims of dog bites are not always so lucky to walk away with cuts and bruises. Dogs can easily cause incredibly serious bodily injury or even kill. San Diego Dog Leash Laws San Diego has a strict leash policy regarding dogs that requires owners to keep their dogs…

Bonnici Law Group’s Case Asks, “Who Is Responsible When a Dog Bites?”

Posted on December 7, 2015 by bonnicilawgroup

Bonnici Law Group is currently working with the victim of a vicious dog bite. The attack was so violent that the 21-year-old victim’s nose was literally torn from his face. The culprit, a Labrador retriever recently adopted by the victim’s family, has a history of aggression. Only two weeks prior to this incident, the dog attacked another woman, sending her to the hospital with severe injury to her hand. However, this attack was never mentioned when the San Diego family adopted the dog. The pet adoption organization that had been responsible for the dog allegedly knew about its violent past, but neglected to make potential adopting families aware. “This all could have been avoided by a simple phone call. If any of these defendants had contacted the family and informed them that just a few weeks before, this dog had severely injured someone else, they would have adopted a different…

Injured Mailman Speaks About San Diego Dog Attack

Posted on August 19, 2013 by bonnicilawgroup

Buddy Siso, a mail carrier viciously attacked by a dog in late July, is telling his story to bring attention to what he says is a growing issue in San Diego. Siso’s throat was mauled, his leg bitten and several of his teeth were knocked out after being attacked by an unleashed pit bull in mid-July. “The dog had physically pushed his way through the gate and was virtually on me within a second,” said Siso. “That was the most horrific and terrifying second of my life.” The dog owner showed up and was able to remove the dog, but at that point, Siso had already sustained serious injuries and was bleeding profusely. Siso was wearing his mailbag strap around his neck and his bag across his chest, a safety measure he learned in a dog bite prevention training last December. “That saved my life,” he said. According to the…

      What our clients are saying

“I had a great experience. I was out from work on disability for almost a year after my accident. The process of battling the insurance companies would have been so overwhelming for me with doctor’s appointments and therapy. Josh streamlined the process and made everything so easy. I don’t think I could have handled this on my own.”
