Joshua Bonnici Rides with Blind Cyclist in CAF Triathlon

On October 19, attorney Bonnici Law Group participated in the Challenged Athlete Foundation Triathlon for disabled athletes. During the cycling leg of the event, Bonnici rode tandem with a blind friend, helping him participate in the competition even though he could not steer the bike himself. Challenged Athlete Foundation CAF The Challenged Athlete Foundation (CAF) sponsors competitions for disabled athletes, many of whom are missing limbs. The organization helps veterans and accident victims accomplish physical goals while fundraising for important causes. During this year’s CAF Triathlon, Joshua Bonnici helped a blind friend finish the cycling portion by riding with him on a tandem bike. Bonnici did the steering, but it took both riders to cross the finish line. Child Killed in Drunk Driving Accident

Police arrested a suspected drunk driver at the scene of a tragic accident in Anaheim. On October 19, a family of five was waiting at a stoplight near Euclid Street and La Palma Avenue. Suddenly, a black pickup truck slammed into the back of their Toyota Camry, pushing the car into the intersection. A Honda Civic also collided with the Camry before things finally settled. Six people had to be taken to area hospitals, including both parents and two siblings from the Camry. The Honda driver also suffered moderate injuries. Witnesses reported seeing paramedics working frantically to revive a 10-year-old boy with CPR compressions and a portable defibrillator. Tragically, he never recovered from his injuries, passing away a short time later at Anaheim Regional Medical Center. Drunk Driver Rear-Ends Ambulance in Del Mar

Several people were injured on Tuesday, October 9, when a suspected drunk driver slammed into the back of an ambulance. California Highway Patrol responded to reports of an accident at around 1:25 a.m. The ambulance had been traveling in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Del Mar when another vehicle rear-ended it and burst into flames. Firefighters soon arrived and extinguished the flames without incident. Three people were hospitalized after the accident, but officials at the scene decided not to disclose which vehicle the victims were riding in. Police did not discuss why they believe the man may have been intoxicated, but there are very few excuses to rear-end an emergency vehicle.
