Man Injures 3 In DUI Accident

California Highway Patrol arrested a drunk driver who was responsible for injuring three people in a car accident on the early morning of September 22.  Three people, including the driver, were injured and four vehicles were damaged.  The driver was identified as 30-year-old Adam Duncan of Auburn, California.

Duncan was arrested of suspicion of DUI and released after being hospitalized.  According to eyewitnesses in the police report, Duncan was was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe erratically down Highway 49.  He drifted into oncoming traffic and swiped a truck before continuing to drift into oncoming traffic, causing two other cars to collide.  All three injured parties were hospitalized with minor injuries.

Authorities also cited Duncan for possession of drug paraphernalia. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs continues to injure and kill people despite increased penalties.
