1620 5th AvenueAccording to multiple sources, actress Reese Witherspoon was hit by a car on September 8 as she was jogging in Santa Monica. She reportedly suffered minor injuries in the car accident.
The driver of the Toyota that struck the starlet was identified as an 84-year-old female Santa Monica resident.
“Ms. Witherspoon was within a portion of the intersection considered a crosswalk. This is a residential neighborhood and most crosswalks are not marked like business districts,” Santa Monica Police Sgt. Richard Lewis told Inside Line. “The weather conditions were sunny and clear.”
Witherspoon was treated for minor injuries at a nearby hospital. No charges have been filed at this time.
