A Los Angeles car accident injured 10 on December 18, according to the L.A. Times. The multi-car wreck occurred at Crenshaw Boulevard and Vernon Avenue in Leimert Park.
Two of those injured, a man and a woman, were in critical condition. The names of the victims were not available. When emergency responders arrived on the scene they had to “strategically disassemble” a vehicle to rescue one of the victims, according to Brian Humphrey, spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
One of the victims is a child, who suffered minor injuries. More than two dozen firefighters responded to the accident.
“The Colorado pickup truck collided into the back of a small Chevy sedan and a Ford SUV, which caused a chain reaction collision with the other vehicles, nine to be exact,” says Los Angeles Police Sgt. Rodney Carter. The accident remains under investigation.
