Three people died in a helicopter crash in a rural area of Los Angeles County just before dawn on February 11. The helicopter was carrying two passengers and a pilot and was being used in production for a television show called United Military Project for the Discovery Channel, according to a permit filed with Film L.A. Inc. The helicopter was contracted from a company called Crossbow Helicopters that received approval from the Federal Aviation Administration to fly for the show’s production.
