San Diego Car Accident Lawyer Warns of ‘Stunt” Motorists on Roads

California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers are searching for a group of young motorists that caused a disturbance and shut down four northbound lanes of the Nimitz Freeway in Oakland, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Reports state that the motorists were performing “doughnuts” in their cars and burning the rubber off their tires, creating a large cloud of smoke. Several witnesses recorded the disturbance using cell phone cameras. “In my 35 years in the department, I’ve never seen anything like this,” said CHP Sgt. Diana McDermott. “It looks like something you would see in a video game or something, but these are real-life incidents, and it takes seconds—seconds—for a fatal collision to happen.” The group dispersed when officers arrived and no arrests have been made. San Diego Wrongful Death Attorney Looks at First Toyota Lawsuit Settlement Details

The Toyota Motor Corp. has begun settling lawsuits stemming from an alleged design error in its vehicles that caused them to unexpectedly accelerate. Toyota agreed to settle one of these lawsuits filed by the family of a victim of a fatal crash in Utah in 2010. Toyota recalled more than 10 million vehicles from 2009 to 2010…

Three people were killed in a small plane crash in San Diego on December 29, 2012, according to ABC News. The plane crashed in the Sycamore Canyon Open Space Preserve just north of Santee. The pilot and both passengers were pronounced dead on the scene. The plane departed from a small airfield near Phoenix. “The plane was in some type of spin coming out of the sky,” said San Diego County Sheriff’s Sgt. Dave Hale. “We don’t know much more than that.” A hiker in the area reported hearing an explosion from the sky and seeing the plane go down. “He attempted to hike to where it was but couldn’t reach it,” said California Highway Patrol Officer Robert Catano. “The hiker said it looked like the plane may have been doing stunts, and never came out of it.” The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the accident. If the pilot was…
