San Diego Wrongful Death Attorney Warns of Pradaxa Dangers

Pradaxa is a popular drug used primarily as a blood thinner and to prevent strokes and arterial fibrillation. Doctors like to use the drug for patients that have an irregular heartbeat, to prevent possible blood clots and a stroke. Pradaxa has shown to be effective for these purposes, but it is not without its side effects, including internal bleeding. The Federal Drug Administration (FDA) recently evaluated new information concerning the side effects associated with Pradaxa compiled from insurance claims and administrative data. They determined the internal bleeding and thinner blood can lead to possible heart attacks, excessive bleeding and death. The FDA has not banned Pradaxa, but it has urged physicians to use caution when prescribing it. Other possibly fatal adverse side effects include an allergic reaction to the drug, which can cause swelling and inflammation, dizziness and difficulty breathing. Distracted Driving Still Huge Threat in Southern California

Despite the ongoing efforts by public officials to raise awareness about the risks, distracted driving remains one the largest threats to motorists, pedestrians and cyclists. Traffic is notoriously heavy in Southern California, so distracted driving is a huge problem in the region.
