79-year-old Irvine Towne of California died in a truck accident in Oregon on October 31, according to OregonLive.com. Oregon State Police Officer Patrick Trippett said the accident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. when Towne’s station wagon attempted to pass a truck towing two trailers transporting hay. Towne crashed into the side of the trailers and lost control of his car. Emergency workers rushed Towne to Sky Lakes Medical Center, but he died on the way to the hospital. 22-year-old truck driver Trevor Alves did not sustain injury. Even when truck drivers are being cautious and following all the laws of the road, they can still pose a greater risk to other motorists in smaller vehicles. Always be cautious when driving around semi-trucks. Remember, they may not see you. Bonnici Law Group, APC—San Diego wrongful death attorney.
