3 Killed, 4 Injured In California Boat Accident

Three women died and four other people injured in a tragic boating accident in California in October, according to Fox News.  The accident occurred at Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas, about 30 miles east of Los Angeles. The three women crashed into another boat while they rode a wave runner, according to police reports.  The women, ages 25, 35 and 60, were related to one another.  Three men and another woman in the boat suffered critical injuries and were taken to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. “It was a pretty severe accident in the middle of the water,” said Matt Levesque of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.  The accident is under investigation. “At this point, there’s nothing to indicate there was alcohol, but that could change later,” said Los Angeles County Chief Lifeguard Hugo Maldonado. Man Killed, Woman Hospitalized Following Car Crash In California Wine Country

One man, 40-year-old Taylor Griffin of Portland, died and a woman, 43-year-old Carrie Davenport of Freeport, was hospitalized following a tragic car accident in Northern California on October 17, according to the PressHerald.com. The accident occurred late sometime the night of October 16th, although the California Highway Patrol did not discover the crash until 11 a.m. the following day.  According to accident reports, Griffin lost control of his rental 2012 Corvette on a curve in California’s Wine Country.  The car rolled over on the side of the road.  Davenport eventually climbed out of the car and called police on her cell phone.  She was taken to Santa Ross Memorial Hospital. Two Killed In Accident As Man Flees Police

A fatal car-motorcycle accident closed down northbound Highway 1 in Monterey County in California on October 16, according to the San Jose Mercury News. Officials described the collision as high speed and very destructive. A man fled from an officer at high speeds in a Geo Prism. The officer attempted to stop the driver for driving recklessly, but the driver collided with a motorcycle.  The driver of both the Prism and the motorcycle died on the scene. The pursuing officer, Sarah Jackson, said that she saw the car hit the motorcycle at a high speed. The motorcyclist was a woman in her late 30’s.  Highway 1 was shut down for several hours.
