Victim’s Family Seeks To Ban ‘Wolf Dogs’ In Tennessee

The relatives of a 5-year-old boy who died after a dog attack are seeking to ban wolf-dog hybrids from the state of Tennessee, according to Examiner.com. Young Kyle Holland moved with his mom and her boyfriend to Michigan from Tennessee. The family was in their new home for only 10 days before the dog attacked Kyle. Kyle died after the animal dragged him out of his bed in the middle of the night and mauled him in the hallway. The breed is illegal in Michigan, but not in Tennessee, where the family moved from. The mother and her boyfriend were arrested been charged with the boy’s death. Now one of Kyle’s cousins is petitioning the state of Tennessee to ban these wolf hybrids. California Highway Patrol Investigating String Of Accidents

An investigation launched on October 10 to determine the cause of multiple accidents on a highway in Chula Vista, according to 10News.com in San Diego. At least one person died, according to authorities. One accident occurred after a motorcycle read-ended a car that was changing lanes on Interstate 805 on October 9, according to the California Highway Patrol. The motorcyclist, 24-year-old Jeancarlo Seville, was thrown from the bike and was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle accident caused a chain reaction resulting in two other accidents, one of which also involved a motorcyclist, who suffered major injuries. The third crash involved a family who had a baby and a dog in the car; there were no reported major injuries. California Woman Seriously Injured In Pedestrian Accident

A California pedestrian was seriously injured on the morning of October 4 after a car hit her, according to MyMotherLode.com.  Dawn Davenport, 35, from Sonora, was driving southbound in Sonora when she struck pedestrian Deborah Nevarez, 53. Nevarez suffered serious injuries following the pedestrian accident.  She was airlifted to a hospital in Modesto.  The Sonora Police Department said that she stepped out in front of the car as it was driving.  Witnesses backed up the story, saying that Davenport did not have time to react.  Authorities were not sure why she would have leaped in front of a car.  She suffered broken bones and lacerations but is expected to survive the accident.
