Young Girl Killed In Tragic California Car Accident

According to the Los Angeles Times, an August 27 car accident claimed the life of a 2-year-old girl.  The accident occurred on the 110 Freeway in Highland Park when a Nissan Altima and a GMC Yukon collided in the southbound lane, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision occurred around 5:30 p.m.  The section of the highway they were at is curvy and notorious for accidents.  The cars both caught on fire following the accident, and the mother and neighboring residents were unable to pull the little girl out before she died in the Nissan. “You could hear the screams of the child,” said one witness.  “They were high pitched and terrible.  Then they stopped.” At least 4 people were taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, including the mother of the girl and the driver of the SUV and two of the men who were injured trying to…

Nava crashed his car into a pine tree while traveling 80 mph in a 45 mph zone, according to the Sacramento Bee.  15-year-old passenger Steve Gomez was killed, and Roman Gomez, 19, and Elvira Orejel, 18 were injured severely. Prosecutors claim that Nava was inhaling nitrous oxide out of balloons while driving.  He faces up to 14 years in prison.  This is a high price to pay to learn a lesson.  What likely started out as a good time resulted in a wrongful death and two others being seriously injured.  People who are under the influence of drugs and alcohol have no…
